Basic information
The Piano Performance programme is designed as a five-year Master’s degree without a Bachelor’s degree. It is intended primarily for graduates and students of conservatories and music high schools.
It is possible to study up to two years at a foreign university, usually through the Erasmus+ programme. Foreign stays can be flexibly divided into individual semesters and can be carried out at different universities.
The first three years of the study programme have a universal focus. At the end of the third year, the student chooses one of two specialisations:
- Piano playing and piano pedagogy
- Piano and chamber music
The two specialisations are equivalent in the field of solo performance and differ in the focus of professional subjects and the content of the state final examination. If you are interested, it is possible to take the courses of the second specialization or to study both.
