Basic information
The Master’s degree programme in Percussion Performance produces musicians with high qualifications, the ability to interpret, compose and arrange the repertoire in its entirety.
The study programme can also be chosen by students who wish to pursue a career as a music teacher and teach at primary art schools, conservatories, music grammar schools and universities (music academies).
What will the graduate learn?
- will be able to develop their creative imagination and fantasy
- will be able to work with a wide range of instrumental or compositional-arranging techniques and interpretative approaches
- will have an in-depth knowledge of the history and literature of the instrument
- will be able to orient themselves in the aesthetics of art and know the development of artistic movements
- will have a high level of skills in performance or composition and arranging
- gain practical experience through work on faculty or school-wide projects, which are solo, chamber and orchestral projects often with international participation, or gain further experience through a study abroad
- Become an independent, focused, healthily confident and disciplined artist who can effectively plan and structure his/her own work and be able to think self-critically
- will have healthy physiological and psychological habits that can be used for study and public performance of music
- and finally, they will also learn how to approach scientific work correctly and how to argue at a professional level in theoretical and creative discussions.
