General information
The main prerequisite is a full university bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and specialisation. Specialisations cannot be combined when moving from one degree to another.
Candidates who have studied undergraduate courses must also demonstrate an exceptional level in their specialisation in the practical examination. This practical examination will determine the applicant’s professional and, above all, artistic aptitude for studying the chosen specialisation of the degree programme.
The entrance examination is held in the form of a solo or chamber performance. An integral part of the entrance examination is a presentation during which the candidate presents his/her concept of what further study should look like. This requirement applies to all three specialisations. It will be judged by a committee appointed and approved by the Dean of the Faculty of Music at JAMU. This committee will also assess the applicant’s motivation, knowledge and professional level for the Master’s programme.
