What is the aim of the study
The aim of the study is to prepare the graduate to be able to work with a wide range of performing or compositional-arranging skills, approaches and techniques, while at the same time to exercise his or her own developed creative imagination and fantasy. Graduates should be able to handle a demanding, wide-ranging and stylistically diverse repertoire and to analyse performance or compositional problems, including suggesting solutions for themselves and their students or colleagues.
What students will learn next
As part of their studies, students will gain a deep knowledge of music history, art aesthetics, and the development of artistic movements, as well as practical experience from faculty or school-wide projects (solo and ensemble projects, or experience from study abroad). They will learn about the healthy physiological and psychological habits associated with rehearsing and performing music in public, as well as procedures for creating scholarly work.
