The programme develops in-depth performance, theoretical and research competences in the field of music. During your studies you will learn:

Theoretical and methodological expertise

  • you will learn advanced scientific research methods applicable in the field of interpretation and artistic research
  • Gain insight into the development of research at an international level and a deep understanding of the cultural, philosophical and aesthetic contexts of music.

Publication skills

  • you will learn how to prepare professional texts for peer-reviewed journals
  • work as an author of scripts, monographs and analytical studies.

Language and communication skills

  • acquisition of professional terminology and language skills necessary for working with international scientific literature and communication at conferences.

Research practice

  • participation in conferences with presentation of own outputs
  • completing an internship or research project abroad
  • publication of a professional article as a compulsory part of the study.
