General information
In the case of electroacoustic music, candidates must prepare recordings of several different compositions, created using different methods of sound production. They will demonstrate their knowledge of music theory and instrumentation.
The candidate is expected to have knowledge of different ways of creating electronic sound, working with DAWs, using different programs for creating music or making open source software or hardware musical instruments.
In the case of a candidate for studying the specialisation Composition of Electroacoustic Music, the ability to master at least at a basic level an electroacoustic musical instrument is important.
The entrance exam includes a general knowledge test.
Conditions of admission
- Submit recordings of several different compositions, created using different methods of sound production (the result of this part of the exam constitutes 50% of the overall assessment).
- Knowledge of different ways of creating electronic sound, working with a DAW, using different music creation programs or making open source software or hardware musical instruments (the result makes up 30% of the assessment).
- Ability to play an electroacoustic instrument at least at a basic level (the result constitutes 10% of the assessment).
- The exam includes a written test of general cultural knowledge (the result constitutes 10% of the assessment) and an interview with the candidate, which examines his/her interest in the chosen field.
