Duchovní hudba

The course is implemented by the Department of Organ and Historical Performance.

During its existence, it has trained many professionals in this field – soloists, chamber players and teachers.

In the course of its development, it has evolved into a format in which theoretical, practical and application subjects are included, achieving a form of interrelated content of the individual subjects. Teachers of theoretical subjects thus have an overview of students’ artistic projects and are able to use immediate practical knowledge in theoretical teaching.

The specialization of Sacred Music, which exists in our country only at the HF JAMU, was created primarily to raise the quality of church music and to increase the artistic versatility of musicians. The aim of the study is a versatile musically educated graduate

The specialization in Sacred Music is built on several required and elective courses that form the backbone of this program. The interweaving of the specialisations creates suitable conditions for the successful employment of graduates in practice. Of course, there is a wide range of elective courses that suitably complement the study programme according to personal preferences.

By studying at the JAMU Faculty of Music , graduates receive a broad musical and pedagogical education and are prepared to work in these professions:

– church organist, choir director

– soloist in playing his instrument

– leaders of smaller ensembles and choirs

– cooperation with soloists from other disciplines

– chamber player

– cooperation with local authorities in civil affairs

– ZUŠ teacher, private teacher
